Robotics Competes in Championship

Team 99331M, “Fowl Play,” earned the Design Award at the VEX V5 Robotics Tennessee Middle School State Championship. The award recognizes an organized and professional approach to the engineering design process, project and time management, and team organization.
Team members are Ibraheem Awan ’32, Rishabh Bag ’30, Aaron Chiang ’29, Charlie Irwin ’30, and Mac Wilson ’29. Their performance qualified them for the VEX Robotics World Championship on April 25 in St. Louis, Missouri.

Science Instructor and Robotics Advisor Garrett Smithson, who serves on the board of the Volunteer State Robotics Foundation, helped organize and host the state championship at F&M Bank Arena in Clarksville on March 13 and 14.
