Zhao Places at DECA Event
Ethan Zhao ’26 earned finalist honors at the DECA International Career Development Conference in Atlanta, Georgia, April 25-28, placing among the top competitors in Tennessee during the organization’s premier annual competition.
Out of 530 Tennessee students who competed at the conference, Zhao was one of just 21 finalists. He advanced in the Professional Selling event, which evaluates participants’ communication, marketing, and sales presentation skills through simulated business scenarios.
Zhao was joined at the conference by Aadil Omer ’26, Carson Alexander ’27, and Kushal Das ’29. Each received a Certificate of Achievement for demonstrating skills and knowledge included in the National Curriculum Standards during the competition.
