Five Owls Named National Merit Semifinalists
The National Merit Scholarship Corporation has announced that the following five seniors are Semifinalists in the National Merit Scholarship program: Carson Alexander, Soren Johnson, Abdullah Khawaja, Shay Mukatira, and Benjamin Nichol.
These Owls are among 16,000 Semifinalists, representing less than 1% of U.S. high school seniors, in the 72nd annual National Merit Scholarship Program. They have an opportunity to continue in the competition, vying for some 6,700 National Merit Scholarships worth nearly $24 million that will be offered this spring.
