Owls Honored with Scholastic Writing Awards
Owls captured awards in the Scholastic Art and Writing Awards, earning regional recognition for their writing.
Ike Emmert ’27 led the way, winning a Gold Key in Speculative Fiction for “Post-Mortem Correspondence.” He also claimed two Silver Keys, one in Flash Fiction for “Breakfast, 9:42 a.m.” and another in Speculative Fiction for “Ordinary.” Emmert added two Honorable Mentions in Speculative Fiction for “The Red Room Project” and “The Autopsy Report.”
In the Personal Essay and Memoir category, Ashwin Subramaniam ’26 earned a Gold Key for “The Indian Basis for Success: Academics.” Tom Crosby ’26 secured an Honorable Mention for “Two Facets of Service,” and Ari Thiyagarajaa ’26 received an Honorable Mention for “Self Made.”
