Band and Orchestra Excel in Chicago

Band and orchestra students traveled to Chicago to participate in the Chicago Heritage Festival, where their performance earned a Gold rating, the festival’s highest honor.
In addition, Haadi Ranjha ’27 was recognized with an Outstanding Soloist award for his exceptional individual performance on the French horn.

The group attended a performance by the renowned Chicago Symphony Orchestra, offering a firsthand look at one of the world’s premier ensembles. Students also explored some of Chicago’s most iconic attractions, including the Shedd Aquarium, the Field Museum, and Navy Pier. A highlight for many was the thrilling TILT experience atop the John Hancock Center, where students leaned out over the city from the 94th floor.

The trip also gave students a taste of Chicago’s culture and cuisine. They enjoyed the city’s famous deep-dish pizza and capped off their visit with an entertaining performance at Medieval Times.
